The 93% Club does for state schoolers what private school alumni networks do for one another. From classroom to boardroom, the Club is a powerful support system that connects its members to the peers that keep them on campus, the professionals who offer their insider knowledge, and the dream jobs that transform their lives.

Our unique approach

The 93% Club isn’t a programme - we’re a national infrastructure that creates mutually supportive networks at university and work.

State schoolers are rarely told at school how to capitalise on their university experience, and often lack the financial means to undertake unpaid internships and work experience. When twinned with being the first in their family to attend university, state schoolers are on the back foot when aiming to secure their dream job after graduation.
That’s why we operate 93% Careers - our dedicated recruitment arm, connecting top state-educated talent with leading employers. We work with global brands, major corporates, and UK PLCs to ensure state school alumni are landing their dream roles across the most competitive industries and sectors.
Students from state educated backgrounds are underrepresented across almost every UK university. On campus state schoolers often feel isolated and lack community.
That’s where we step in. 93% Students is the Club’s network of students across 53 campuses, brought together through our virtual Clubhouse. Led by students, our on-campus societies deliver tailored impact for their members where they are - whether that’s subsidised cost-of-living breakfasts at Warwick, affordable formals and balls at Oxford, or campaigning against accentism at Edinburgh.
Our digital Clubhouse connects all members - whether part of a campus society or not, and is home to where we share jobs and opportunities, advertise national events, and operate #Support-a-Student, our online marketplace where students can shop for ad hoc, real time, support from professionals.
What really sets state schoolers apart from their privately educated peers at work? Networks. Private schools are pros at building them. State schoolers? Often left without the connections or backing needed to get ahead.
That’s where 93% Professionals comes in, a ready-made network helping state-educated people thrive at work through tailored advice, mentorship, networking, and business development. Connecting members across the UK via an online platform and through in-person and hybrid events - the network is nationwide with members from Edinburgh to Exeter.
The network’s pay-it-forward model also means every membership funds the next generation, with 50% of fees supporting a student member, and the rest powering our events and platform.
#StateSchoolProud is our ongoing campaign designed to change the narrative around being state-educated in Britain. By capturing the zeitgeist and mobilising a movement of state school alumni, we’re making state-educated success impossible to ignore.
While others focus on policy reform, we’re shifting culture - positioning state education as a strength, not a setback, and ensuring that talent from state schools gets the recognition it deserves.

The 93% Club is a not-for-profit organisation, meaning 100% of funds raised are reinvested in our mission to transform what it means to be state educated in Britain.

Supporting students into their dream jobs

For state schoolers, getting a foot in the door is the hardest part of landing a dream job. That’s why we partner with top employers to equip our members with the resources, insider knowledge, connections, and support they need to make it happen. The result?

82% of our members secured jobs in their first choice industry after graduation.

Our university clubs are at the heart of this movement, creating opportunities for members to connect, share insights, and take action. Our student leadership means we ensure our work stays relevant, impactful, and tailored. From networking events to skills workshops, real change starts here - on campus, from the ground up.

A ready made professional network

Research shows that employees from lower socioeconomic backgrounds take 25% longer to progress, despite no evidence of poor performance. That’s why we launched 93% Professionals, a mutually supportive network designed to connect our members with opportunities, advice, and each other. This network is also leveraged by our students, who are able to tap into the network to gain insider knowledge of industries direct from those who work in them. Through our online platforms, we see our students seek advice and guidance, CV reviews, or application support from our professional members on a daily basis.

Spreading state school pride, nationwide

#StateSchoolProud is our ongoing campaign to change the narrative around being state-educated in Britain. Through this campaign we’re making it popular to be state-educated. By making being state educated a powerful brand in itself, we believe we can capture the zeitgeist and create a favourable environment to grease the wheels of policy reform.

Most importantly, by spreading state school pride, we encourage previously disparate state school alumni to band together and support the next generation, just as private school alumni networks have done for decades.
